Project in the Spotlight : A Spare Bedroom Transformation

This Dublin family wanted to convert their neglected spare room, into a multifunctional sophisticated guest room. As often happens their spare room became a dumping ground for old furniture and overflow boxes, they needed to transform a space where they could (proudly) host their guests, store their overflow and occasionally work in the room.

The designer devised a bold blue and teal scheme punctuates with Copper and Natural accessories.

A streamlined modern built in bed, desk and wardrobe was designed to make best use of the limited available space and provides plenty of storage for  guests to unpack and feel at home.

In addition to the central pendant, bedside lamps were added for comfortable reading and can double as desk lights when required.  Natural Irish linens and a quirky selection of cushions, make the bed as inviting as could be.

Finally, the large wardrobe serves as the family’s overflow storage. And the silk mix rug provides a perfect surface to wake up to.
