It’s pink week. Breast Cancer is a disease that statistically will touch the lives of 90% of women on the planet – my mother is survivor, my sister lost her 39-year-old sister-in-law to breast cancer two years ago and two of my friends are currently in treatment. Breast cancer charities increase awareness of this lady-killer, but also ensure that there are funds to conduct routine checks as symptoms can be elusive – over 30% of cases are detected in routine checkups.
